For a change or a treat, the meals can be substituted for fish or fresh meat such as cooked mince or chicken. They like rice pudding, tuna or sardines. The puppy has been weaned on this diet; any change should be gradual so as not to upset his tummy.
This diet is a current guide; the intake will vary according to appetite and exercise. As the puppy gets older the amounts can be increased, which will enable you to decrease the number of meals given. I suggest by six months of age he will only require one main meal and a small breakfast.
The puppy has been wormed with Early Wormer at 4 weeks old and 6 weeks old and will require further doses every 2 weeks until the age of 12 weeks. Then at 3 monthly intervals. It is advisable to change to a veterinary prescribed wormer such as Drontal when the puppy is old enough, also to protect the puppy from fleas etc. with a good product such as Frontline.
Please don’t hesitate to call us if you require help or advice, please call us anyway just to let us know how the puppy has settled with you. Any photographs would be much appreciated.
Good Luck
